| As field biologists, many of us had been walking right on the evidence for decades, but never really noticing what was right under our feet. The ground under this Crescentia alata tree in the ACG is covered with the debris of successive fruit crops over many years. One can hardly be blamed for viewing it as a sort of biological trash bin. | ||
