| This has been a dangerous plant indeed for these insects to have walked on. They are innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire. The hooked trichomes have caught and held them until they died, a fate normally avoided by the small herbivorous insect that simply turns away from this grasping defense without attempting a close encounter with it. | ||
