| The list of bright-colored insects on milkweeds may be very long. These newly-hatched chrysomeline chrysomelid beetle larvae feed their entire larval and adult life on milkweed leaves, and I need not say more about the why of their bright colors. The colors are retained in adulthood (see DHJanzen100276.jpg below). | ||
