Return to the Guacimal plot fire break in image DHJanzen100789.jpg above, in 1999 and about 15 years after the last fire through the entire area. This is the same view as in DHJanzen100789.jpg above. Compare the left and right side of the fire break. On the right, every year since 1986 the fire crew has burned the plot to keep things the way they were. This burn can be seen in image DHJanzen10080.jpg below.
