These are ACG rainforest tree seeds gathered from the forest surrounding the pasture in DHJanzen100856.jpg above, to grow as seedlings to be planted out in the pasture. But even with this tender loving care, the great majority of them died through exposure to the harsh conditions in the pasture and in some cases, lack of mycorrhizal establishment.
