| Cutting bamboo, just like digging up the rhizomes, has no effect on the calendar. In other words, a large patch of bamboo can be cut down, and then grow back up again, as occurred when a power line was put in across this area of Costa Rican forest, and then when the general area flowers, these same plants flower too (although they will not have as much reserves with which to flower). | ||
